The Fox Squirrel is common in North Central Texas. A little further east where there are pine trees you find Grey Squirrels. In our area  Native Pecan trees and Oak trees keep these guys well fed. The abundance of nuts doesn’t stop them from raiding our bird feeders for sunflower seeds.
