swallowtailWith an abundance of wildflowers in Northeast Texas we are blessed with a good butterfly population. This swallowtail is feeding on a Lantana flower in our garden. The Lantana draws many species of butterflies. We seem to get mostly swallowtails, fruitillaries, and skippers. This fall we also had migrating monarch butterflies sharing the Lantana flowers with the swallowtail butterflies.
